Gus A. Saper

I am Gus Saper, a fifth generation Houstonian and a third generation Texas A&M “Aggie”. I have devoted my over 50 year career as a trial lawyer dedicated to criminal defense work. However, over the years as the business world has become more regulated, I have found that my practice overlaps with that of a commercial trial lawyer. Often, civil litigation involving the SEC, CFTC and other government regulatory agencies is the precursor to criminal charges. Being able to handle these quasi-civil/criminal investigations is essential to a good outcome for the client. I pride myself in being able to do both. In addition, I represent those accused in both state and federal court with drug offenses, bank fraud, Medicare/Medicaid fraud, DWI/DUI, and various violent criminal offenses such as murder, robbery, and assault. I am admitted to practice law in Texas, but I have and continue to take cases around the country. My practice has taken me to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, California, Washington, as far west as Alaska, as well as England, Canada and Mexico.
