Joseph E. Johnson V

Joseph E. Johnson V was raised in San Antonio, Texas. He earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia University in 2010 and his Juris Doctor from the Washington and Lee School of Law in 2017. Joseph is licensed to practice law in New Mexico and Texas. He was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 2018 and the Texas Bar in 2021. Joseph began in legal career as a prosecutor with the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he tried both misdemeanor and felony cases. Joseph also served as a special prosecutor for the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative—a federally funded program working to prosecute cold cases long neglected by the judicial system. Joseph gained extensive knowledge on cutting-edge DNA testing techniques while helping victims seek justice for crimes that went unsolved for years or, in some instances, decades. In 2022, Joseph moved home to San Antonio where he began his career in personal injury litigation. Since joining Thompson Law, Joseph has focused on representing clients involved in car accidents, general negligence, pedestrian accidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, and dog bite cases. Joseph prides himself on fighting for injured clients in their quest for justice.
