About Kimberly Butler
Kimberly has been serving the needs of North Texas families since 1997. She began working with troubled youth and their families as a juvenile probation officer in Denton County. Her love for and belief in the inherent goodness of children fueled her work to reach the youth of Denton County showing them there is another way through life. Kimberly believes that in most children's lives, it takes just one person to show their genuine care to have a positive impact on their outcome in life. Kimberly still hopes today that she may have been that one person for even just one child. It was only natural that upon being licensed as a Texas attorney in 2004, Kimberly began her journey as a Family Law practitioner for the families here in Denton and surrounding North Texas counties. Kimberly has represented families in all areas of family law, including CPS defense and juvenile law cases. Whatever your family structure, whatever your family's needs, Kimberly is here to help you get through the "business" of the legal system so you can get back to the "living" of life! Kimberly has focused on making sure that ALL families, no matter the makeup, are secure and whole in their familial relationships, whether a single-parent family, two-parent family, grandparents/aunties/uncles raising your grandchildren/nieces/nephews, same-sex parents/families, and foster parents wishing to adopt. All families are welcome, all families matter. Kimberly has provided competent, financially conscientious representation in all of the following areas: Family Law Child Custody and Support Divorce Modification And Enforcement of Court Orders Cohabitation Agreements Name Changes for Both Adults and Children Second-Parent Adoptions Termination And Adoption Cps Defenses/Juvenile Matters Matters Pertaining to Same-Sex Couples Testamentary Planning Estate/Testamentary Planning Guardianship Probate Business Entity Formation Kimberly grew up in Lewisville, graduating high school as a proud Fighting Farmer way back in 1988. Her family still lives in Denton County so spending time with her parents is a welcome activity anytime! When she is not being a busy family law attorney, Kimberly and her cat, Sunny, reside in Roanoke, where Kimberly likes to participate in the town events on historic Oak Street. She also is an avid genealogy enthusiast and loves to spend time with her three nephews when they come to town! Kimberly also loves volunteering, further serving the needs of all the residents of North Texas in whatever capacity possible.
