Kris Kennedy is a partner in the Austin, Texas office of Cunningham Swaim LLP, bringing with her a wealth of legal expertise and an unwavering dedication to client advocacy. With a broad legal background spanning aviation law, personal injury, product liability, insurance defense, and business law, Kris is a formidable presence both inside and outside the courtroom. Kris has tried cases throughout the United States in both state and federal courts. She is deeply involved in every stage of litigation, from initial investigation and strategy development through trial and resolution. Her trial experience, combined with her ability to negotiate advantageous settlements, helps her clients achieve positive, business-focused outcomes in even the most challenging cases. Before joining Cunningham Swaim, Kris served as the Deputy Chief of the Consumer Protection Division and Managing Trial Attorney in the Civil Medicaid Fraud Division of the Texas Attorney General’s office. In those roles, Kris routinely handled complex commercial litigation cases against Fortune 500 companies on behalf of the State of Texas. Prior to her time in public service, Kris was a partner at a trial boutique in Dallas, Texas, where her practice focused on aviation, product liability, and commercial litigation. Outside of her litigation practice, Kris is committed to mentoring young attorneys and fostering a collaborative, client-focused environment at Cunningham Swaim.
