About Kriti Sharma

Kriti Sharma is a Senior Trial Attorney at Barbieri Law Firm, where she represents individuals facing serious criminal charges throughout North Texas, including Collin County, Tarrant County, and the Dallas–Fort Worth area. She focuses exclusively on criminal defense, bringing nearly five years of prosecutorial experience to her work defending clients accused of felony and misdemeanor offenses. Before transitioning to defense, Ms. Sharma served as an Assistant District Attorney in Collin County, where she was promoted to Felony Prosecutor. She began working with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office while still in law school and continued there after graduation. During her time as a prosecutor, she handled a wide range of criminal cases and gained firsthand insight into how charges are evaluated, filed, and prosecuted. That experience now allows her to anticipate the State’s strategy and identify opportunities to challenge the prosecution’s case. Ms. Sharma now applies that knowledge to defending clients charged with drug offenses, assault and domestic violence, and serious sex crime allegations, including aggravated sexual assault and continuous sexual assault of a child. She understands that people often seek a defense attorney during one of the most stressful periods of their lives and works to provide clear guidance, compassion, and steady advocacy throughout the process. Clients value Ms. Sharma’s calm, respectful approach and her commitment to open communication. She believes that trust and honesty are essential to effective representation and strives to create an environment where clients feel comfortable discussing sensitive and personal details. By fully understanding each client’s circumstances, she is able to tailor defense strategies that address both the legal and human aspects of a case. Ms. Sharma earned her Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law, where she served as President of the Criminal Law Society and received a Texas A&M Law Fellowship. During law school, she volunteered with the Innocence Clinic and the Criminal Defense Clinic, demonstrating an early commitment to defending the accused. She also served as an extern in the Intimate Partner Violence Division of the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office. She earned her undergraduate degree from Texas Wesleyan University, majoring in pre-law and criminal justice with a concentration in criminal law, and was an active member of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity. Ms. Sharma is licensed to practice law in Texas and is also admitted to practice federally in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
