Kyra Rose Leal

Having lived in the area for most of her life with no military affiliation, Kyra is a rare kind of Killeen-native. Growing up in the area, she learned about the importance of justice. As a young person witnessing the injustices being carried in local courts, she knew that she wanted to grow up and help people navigate through the complex American court system. Kyra chose a legal career as a means of helping others. Prior to coming to The Carlson Law Firm, Kyra worked for a Lubbock law firm as a criminal defense attorney. She joins the firm bringing experience in criminal and military defense. Being a criminal defense attorney, Kyra meets people at the lowest point in their lives. But she prides herself on helping clients that come to her initially feeling hopeless get a favorable result. After finishing her B.S. in political science with a minor in math at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, Kyra moved to Lubbock with her new husband for law school. Now the mother of two young boys, Kyra moved home to Killeen to be closer to her extended family. Clients are impressed with Kyra's skill in representing them in the courtroom. Additionally, clients know that Kyra is on their side from the moment they meet with her. Her creativity and compassion help her see the best options for a client's defense. She understands that being charged with a crime doesn't make anyone a bad person, and it certainly shouldn't decide their future. Kyra is authorized to practice in state and district courts. When she's not in the courtroom, Kyra enjoys the delicious meals made by her husband who is a chef. She loves spending time outside, reading and with her family.
