Michael Cupero

Based at our headquarters in Austin, Michael focuses his practice on motor vehicle accidents, dog bites, premises liability, burn injuries, and many other personal injury matters. His favorite aspect of working at Williams Caputo, however, is the opportunity he gets to build relationships with his clients. Michael graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame. As an undergraduate, he also spent time studying at Fundación Ortega y Gasset in Toledo, Spain, an experience that has given him an enhanced understanding of diverse cultures and backgrounds, which he implements into his professional life every day. He went on to earn his juris doctorate from the prestigious Baylor Law School, which is perennially ranked as one of the top law schools for trial advocacy in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. The recipient of the Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholarship, Michael distinguished himself in law school as a member of the Student Bar Association, and he was named to the Dean’s List multiple times. Moreover, he was awarded the Strasburger & Price, L.L.P. Moot Court Award and the Norton Rose Fulbright, L.L.P. Advocacy Award after winning Baylor Law’s Strasburger & Price Moot Court Competition. Before joining our attorney team, Michael gained valuable trial experience at other well-regarded and well-respected personal injury law firms in Austin. Active in his professional community, he is a member of the American Association for Justice and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. His experiences have pushed him to work tirelessly toward securing the best results possible for his clients. Beyond the office, Michael enjoys staying active with soccer, experiencing Austin’s food scene with his wife, Samantha, and exploring the city’s best dog-walking spots with his golden retriever. His love for storytelling informs his legal practice, allowing him to craft persuasive narratives for his clients.
