Roy Buckmaster

It’s rare to find an attorney who lives for the fight, who isn’t afraid of the long hours and all-nighters that come with trial preparation. Roy Buckmaster is one of those rare attorneys. Roy finds real joy in advocating for people who have been victimized by things outside of their control. No matter how difficult the case or tough the battle, Roy puts everything he has into helping his clients get the best result. At the University of Arizona, his favorite coursework was with the Child of Family Law Clinic—representing the interests of children in child protection proceedings. Consistently on the Dean’s List, Roy excelled in law school, participating in the Veteran’s Clinic, the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law, the Volunteer Lawyers Program, the American Inn of Court, and clerking for a prestigious Tucson litigation firm. After graduating in 2014, Roy chose a career in the courtroom and was a criminal prosecutor for various Arizona agencies, including Yavapai County and the City of Prescott. Roy excelled in this role as the voice for victims. He managed hundreds of complex cases from charging through trial and was often a guide and a counselor for those who suffered from the effects of devastating events like domestic violence and sexual abuse. For the last two years, Roy has transitioned his focus to civil litigation. His passion for fighting for victims has only sharpened. Roy’s trial skills and understanding of pre-litigation strategy have made him a valuable part of Arnold & Itkin and has helped those injured by the negligent, reckless, or intentional acts of others. Roy lives with his wife Elliot and three children in the beautiful Heber Valley, Utah, where he snowboards in the winter and wakeboards in the summer.
