Thomas J Lochry

Tom Lochry has been practicing law since 1977 representing people from all walks of life in criminal, family and personal injury cases. He is married to a career teacher that helped put him through law school. Together they have two miniature schnauzers, two married daughters and five grandchildren. Tom Lochry grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated from Miami of Ohio in 1972 with a bachelor’s in political science. He worked at a variety of jobs in college from dishwasher to construction worker. After college, he worked for Marion County in Indianapolis as a juvenile court probation officer/caseworker for male delinquents in court ordered placements and foster homes. He decided to go to law school at SMU in 1974. During law school, he worked at a number of jobs ranging from delivering newspapers, to drafting pension plans and law clerking. After graduating in 1977, he started his law practice handling family, criminal and personal injury cases. After trying hundreds of cases, he became board certified in criminal law in 1994. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyer and enjoys an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Today, he handles criminal and juvenile cases exclusively. Tom Lochry has been a member of the Lake Highlands Exchange Club and the Lake Highlands United Methodist Church for over 20 years. He is a past president of the Exchange Club and served on that board for ten years. He has also served in the Dallas Emmaus Community and Kairos prison ministry. Today, he serves on the board of the Dallas County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and as the legal advisor for the Feed Lake Highlands ministry.
