Linda Fraas

Linda Fraas comes to Vermont by way of New Hampshire where she was born and raised. She worked for several years as a registered nurse before attending law school while raising a young daughter. After becoming an attorney in 1985, Attorney Fraas began her career working primarily on behalf of multiple insurance companies. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury, professional malpractice, wrongful death, employment, products liability, automobile crashes, insurance coverage disputes and fire, construction and premises liability cases. She applies her medical knowledge and experience to the analysis, evaluation, and litigation of cases involving physical and psychological injury. Attorney Fraas has been an owner and partner in several law firms over the past 40 years. She began her career in 1985 at a small boutique insurance defense firm where she gained valuable trial experience. In 1990 Attorney Fraas and a colleague formed Hess and Fraas where they continued to represent and try cases for multiple insurance companies including State Farm, Allstate, National Grange, Commerce, Vermont Mutual, Farm Family, Arbella, and CNA. During this time Attorney Fraas also represented over 30 victims of therapy abuse and psychological malpractice in high profile cases resulting in significant settlements. When her partner Carol Hess retired, Attorney Fraas continued practicing law and most recently left her firm as a solo practitioner to focus solely upon plaintiff’s cases. In her spare time, Attorney Fraas writes songs and sings with her husband in a band called Dali Pigeon and also loves to travel and play competitive Scrabble.
