Brian A. Abbott

Brian's unique background of experiences as an attorney, Certified Public Accountant, manager, and entrepreneur allow him to adeptly tailor solutions to each client's particular challenges. With his background of many hats, Brian is firmly committed to developing practical strategies that align directly with each client's specific goals. Prior to joining Odin, Feldman & Pittleman, Brian worked six years as a CPA and tax manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), which included a two-year tour in their Washington National Tax Services Office. Brian has also worked at a high-end tax CPA firm in northern Virginia that specializes in businesses and high-net-worth individuals within the health industry (including a variety of medical and dental practices and healthcare businesses.) In his legal practice, Brian has drawn on this health industry focus by assisting healthcare professionals with various healthcare, business, and transactional legal matters, as well as assisting with their personal estate planning. Brian has also assisted his wife, a pediatric dentist, in the start-up and acquisition of her practice and regularly provides ongoing support in its management and operations. Such involvement allows Brian to operate from a client-centric vantage point, empathizing with their challenges, in order to deliver cost-effective practical solutions. Brian's primary practice areas are in health law, business law, taxation, and trust and estate planning and administration. On a personal level, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and their two boys. Together they enjoy sports, playing cards, volunteering, and spending time with each other. Brian and his family are also actively involved in their local church community.
