John K. Prillaman

John Prillaman concentrates his legal practice in (i) corporate and business law for closely held businesses and (ii) estate planning and trusts and estates administration, which often involves taxation and business planning and related transactions. John handles a wide range of corporate and business matters for business owners from entity formation to governance and dissolution, including contract drafting and negotiation, real estate purchase and sales, dispute resolution, and litigation. John also represents several banks and credit unions on general corporate governance, bankruptcy and collection matters, and has an active Landlord/Tenant and Adoption practice. John was recognized by Virginia Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2013. John is a Roanoke native and moved back to Roanoke in 2010. Prior to joining OPN Law, John was an associate at Woods Rogers, PLC and the General Counsel for the Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing Authority. John enjoys spending his free time with his wife, family, and friends engaging in a wide range of outdoor and personal activities including soccer, golf, guitar, and fishing. John is actively involved in Second Presbyterian Church and serves on the North Cross Alumni Board. Awards and Honors Honors Recognized by Virginia Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2013.
