Afton E. Hayes

Afton hails from Alaska, but she opted to move to Seattle for a proper latte and to attend UW. Graduating with a degree in International Studies, Afton then moved to San Diego to attend law school, graduating in 2006, and later to Los Angeles, where she worked in music law while also raising her young son, which in itself is a kind of “entertainment law”. Afton returned to Seattle to pursue family law and probate, hoping that her experiences and skills could help others in practical problem-solving. Few attorneys are as attentive to their clients as Afton is to hers. And that is one of the central values that Afton brings – no nonsense, practical problem-solving skills geared to help clients navigate a very difficult road as smoothly as possible. There are few - if any - areas of family law that Afton cannot provide thoughtful and practical guidance, coupled with strong advocacy. She handles a wide range of divorce cases involving contested custody matters, including international custody cases, and asset division. She also has years of experience drafting both prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. These skills also translate to probate work, which Afton also practices.
