Julia C. Hunter J.D.

Julia C. Hunter, principal of Law Offices of Carol L. Edward & Associates P.S., has been practicing law since 2014, and is licensed in both Washington and California. Julia received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2007 from Dickinson College and a Juris Doctor in 2014 from the University of San Diego School of Law. From September 2014 until September 2016, Julia served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Tacoma Immigration Court, a detained court within the Executive Office for Immigration Review, Department of Justice, entering on duty through the Attorney General’s Honors Program. Julia is fluent in Spanish. From September 2016 until June 2018, Julia served as an attorney advisor to the Immigration Judges at the Seattle Immigration Court. From June 2018 until May 2019, Julia worked as an Associate Attorney with Beacon Immigration where she represented clients before the Seattle and Tacoma Immigration Courts as well as assisted clients with affirmative applications for citizenship, lawful permanent residency, nonimmigrant visas, and waivers before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. During law school, Julia interned with several immigration law firms and participated in the Ninth Circuit Appellate Clinic. Before law school, Julia worked as a paralegal with Foley Hoag LLP in Washington D.C. in the International Litigation and Arbitration Practice, focusing on litigation before the International Court of Justice and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes. Julia is fluent in Spanish. Julia is a member of the California State Bar and Washington State Bar. Outside of work, Julia enjoys traveling, cooking, and hiking around the Pacific Northwest with her husband and dogs, Lola and Frankie.
