Paige D. Haley

In a recent, complex case, a mother with primary custody of the parties’ child sought to relocate to another county in bad faith. Paige won primary custody for her client – after a yearlong battle – while objecting to the relocation. The client calls Paige “dynamic in court”, praises her perseverance and determination, and thanks her for everything. Paige says she was prepared from childhood to practice family law. She was adopted at birth and her mother remarried twice, giving Paige two stepfathers. “I don’t view my history as negative,” she says. “My family is very close, and I’ve experienced many of the situations my clients have experienced. Sometimes clients feel shame about what they are going through. I tell them, ‘I’ve not only heard it before – I’ve lived it.’” Paige chose family law because it reaches people on such a personal level. “This is about people’s lives,” she says simply.
