Nick Gordon

Nick is an Associate Attorney at the premier family law practice in West Virginia-Lyne Ranson Law Offices, PLLC. Nick is a Charleston native and a lifelong resident of West Virginia. Nicholas earned a Journalism degree from West Virginia University while majoring in Public Relations and minoring in American Politics and Policy. Nick then went on to earn his law degree from WVU College of Law. During his time in law school, Nick was elected to his law school's ethics committee and elected President of the Black Law Students Association. After graduating, Nicholas began his legal career at a civil defense litigation firm in Charleston before he moved on to practicing criminal defense at the Kanawha County Public Defender Office, where he became passionate about the practice of law in Family Court. In addition to practicing law, Nick currently sits as an elected member on the WV Bar's Young Lawyer Board and is an active member of the State Bar's Minority Lawyer Committee. Nick is also one of the Directors of Footprint Outreach, Inc.-a local nonprofit founded by his younger brother whose mission is to provide resources and support to WV's homeless community. In his spare time, Nick loves to travel and loves to hang out with his family and their many dogs. He also loves to kayak, hike, and explore the natural beauty of his home state.
