Alex J. Becker

Alex Becker's practice focuses on collections, commercial litigation, and municipal law. Alex assists businesses with collections of delinquent accounts from other businesses and consumers, taking effort to help avoid lawsuits and litigation whenever possible. Alex works with the firm's creditors’ rights team to draft documents including Promissory Notes, Settlement Agreements, Forbearance Agreements, litigation-related pleadings, and more. He assists with enforcement of money judgments and helps as needed in commercial litigation matters. As a member of our municipal law team, Alex works on prosecutions, public records, contracts, ordinances, and litigation. Alex previously worked in the Human Resources department of the City of La Crosse, as a Judicial Intern to Dane County Circuit Court Judge Frank D. Remington, and as a Summer Associate at a law firm in Appleton. He also served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 2016 through 2022. Based in Murphy Desmond's Madison office, Alex can assist clients throughout Wisconsin.
