Amanda K. Tisdale

Attorney Amanda Tisdale is a native of Southwest Wisconsin, born and raised in rural Avoca. After graduating from Riverdale High School in 1999, Amanda attended UW Platteville earning a double major in Criminal Justice and Political Science. While at UW Platteville, Amanda completed an internship with the State Public Defender's office and was active with the Mock Trial team. In 2007, Amanda earned her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. While in law school, Amanda volunteered through the Minnesota Justice Foundation at Tubman Family Alliance and obtained certifications in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation. After passing the Wisconsin Bar Exam, Amanda was hired to work in the Lancaster office of the Wisconsin State Public Defender as an Assistant State Public Defender. At the State Public Defender's Office, Amanda gained a tremendous volume of litigation experience defending criminal and OWI cases. In addition to criminal defense, Amanda's time with the State Public Defender exposed her to a wide variety of cases, allowing her to work with juveniles, assist the mentally ill in Chapter 51 proceedings, and represent wards in guardianships. Amanda currently practices in the areas of criminal defense, OWI defense, family law, probate & estate planning, and real estate. Amanda and her husband, Brent, live in rural Blue River with their two young daughters. Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and running. Amanda volunteers with her church and is a member of the Prairie du Chien Rotary Club.
