Caitlin Madden

Caitlin Madden joined Hawks Quindel's Madison, Wisconsin office as an associate attorney in 2014. Her practice focuses on wage and hour litigation, where she ensures employees receive the compensation to which they are legally entitled. Madden represents both individual workers and "class actions," where a number of workers with a common pay grievance filed a wage claim as a group or "class." Attorney Madden also represents employees in employment discrimination litigation, where she helps protect the workplace rights of employees who have been treated unfairly based on their age, disability, gender, race, religion, genetic information, nationality, or other protected status. Attorney Madden graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She was a participant and coach on the Moot Court Team. As a participant, she took first place at the Burton D. Wechsler First Amendment Moot Court Competition and second place at the Herbert J. Wechsler National Criminal Moot Court Competition. Attorney Madden also served as Senior Note and Comment Editor for the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender, and Society, and as president of Law Students for Reproductive Justice. She participated in the Remington Center’s Legal Assistance to Institutionalized Persons Programs, assisting incarcerated individuals with a variety of criminal and civil legal issues. Attorney Madden received several awards during law school, including the Dean’s Academic Achievement Award, finalist in the Best Brief Competition, the Wisconsin Idea Merit Scholarship, the Katherine Held Memorial Award, and the Mathys Memorial Award for Appellate Advocacy. Prior to beginning her law career, Attorney Madden taught elementary school in North Carolina and Minnesota, and worked with students in after-school mentoring programs. She graduated with honors from Marquette University in 2008. She is admitted to practice in all Wisconsin state courts, and in federal court in Wisconsin’s Western and Eastern Districts.
