Jacob Richard Wendt

Jacob R. Wendt is an associate attorney with Godfrey, Leibsle, Blackbourn & Howarth, S.C. Jacob earned his law degree in 2025 from Marquette University Law School where he served on the Marquette Sports Law Review. During law school, Jacob earned a Certificate in Sports Law from the National Sports Law Institute at Marquette and gained business transactional experience through an internship with a Hackney Publication Top 100 Law Firm with Sports Practices. Since joining Godfrey, Leibsle, Blackbourn & Howarth, S.C., Jacob has quickly demonstrated his ability to handle complex matters with skill and efficiency. Most recently, he guided a real estate development client through the complex regulatory maze of municipal regulations – conducting a detailed analysis of zoning requirements and developing a strategic plan for future planning commission proceedings to ensure the client could move forward with the development on schedule. Jacob has also recently assisted in the acquisition of a privately held company, where he was involved in drafting and negotiating transaction documents, coordinating due diligence, and facilitating crucial third-party interactions. Throughout the process, he maintained focus on aligning legal details with the client’s broader business objectives to ensure the transaction progressed smoothly amid multiple legal complexities. Jacob’s law practice focuses on business and real estate transactions. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin.
