Bessy Shi

Bessy Shi is a Senior Associate in the San Francisco office of GHB. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, including insurance defense and complex tort matters. She brings experience handling all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation strategy through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Prior to joining GHB, Bessy practiced at a Bay Area civil litigation firm, where she represented insurers and businesses in matters involving personal injury, premises liability, and first-party property claims. Her work included drafting dispositive motions, preparing clients for deposition, and negotiating favorable settlements. Bessy earned her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Davis. She is admitted to practice in all California state courts and is a member of the State Bar of California, the Bar Association of San Francisco, and the Queen’s Bench Bar Association. In addition to English, Bessy is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Known for her practical approach and attention to detail, Bessy is committed to delivering thoughtful, results-oriented advocacy for her clients.
