
About Michael A. Zuk
Michael A. Zuk is an "AV" (highest Martindale-Hubbell rating) rated attorney who has been awarded the rank of Advocate by the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Zuk is rated as a 'Super Lawyer.' Super Lawyer is a designation made by an independent selection rating service which includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. He has tried well in excess of 50 jury trials and arbitrations to verdict, involving many and varied issues and claimed injuries and damages. These include medical malpractice cases involving child birth (brain) injuries, adult and child paralysis, cancer, infection and surgical complication cases. Mr. Zuk has also tried major exposure products liability cases involving 80% third-degree burns, paralysis, brain injury and death. Mr. Zuk has also tried significant exposure commercial litigation cases involving breach of contract, breach of warranty, fraud, and other business disputes. In addition, Mr. Zuk has tried cases involving claims of employer/employee sexual harassment and wrongful termination cases and has represented healthcare professionals before administrative agencies including the Medical Board of California and in Medical Staff proceedings hearings. Mr. Zuk has also handled cases involving plastic surgery, dental malpractice and oral and maxillofacial surgery, in addition to cases, including several trials representing psychiatrists and mental health professionals. Mr. Zuk has lectured at various legal and medical organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, on a variety of medico-legal issues. He serves on the business advisory board of a leading medical devices manufacturing company and is involved with several charitable organizations concerned with third world healthcare and development issues. He has been sought out by clients who have difficult cases with high exposure potential and has been able to defend cases with inflammatory issues and where potential runaway verdicts must be avoided. Mr. Zuk attended Southwestern University School of Law, graduating in 1978. At Southwestern, he was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program. He received his undergraduate degree from California State University, Northridge, and resides with his wife of over 37 years, Glendene. They have three grown children.
