Michael Lee

Michael Lee is an associate whose practice is focused in the areas of personal injury defense and trucking and transportation. Michael has experience in all phases of litigation, including analyzing documents and exhibits, conducting discovery, handling meet and confers with opposing counsel, researching complex and novel legal issues, drafting motions, producing mediation statements and trial briefs, and appearing in state court for hearings and trial. Notably, he has served as second chair in a trial involving claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, conversion, enforcement of partnership rights, enforcement of LLC member rights, and quiet title to real property arising from a dispute between a marijuana dispensary operator and multiple investors. He has also advised clients on litigation-related matters by providing case evaluations and insurance coverage opinions. His experience also includes managing projects and providing consulting services in the field of clean energy transportation and zero-emissions vehicle technology. In 2016 Michael earned his J.D. from USC where he served as a student attorney in the school's Immigration Clinic. In that role, he conducted a full administrative trial before an immigration judge. He began building his legal resume as a summer law clerk with Asian Americans Advancing Justice in Los Angeles. His other professional experiences include working in La Crescenta as a teacher with C2 Education, in Denver with Accenture as a business process delivery associate, and in Washington, DC with the U.S. Small Business Administration as an attorney-advisor and with Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility as a post-graduate legal fellow, respectively. He earned his B.A. in history from UC San Diego in 2012.
