Rae Lamothe

Rae Lamothe resides in Playa del Rey and practices in Santa Monica. Rae came to Southern California from Canada by way of Israel, Las Vegas and San Francisco. Rae is a graduate of Southwestern University School of Law School. Ms. Lamothe primarily practices in the areas of business and employment litigation. Rae brings her prior management experience to the practice of law. This allows her to aggressively represent her clients while keeping the "real world" needs of her client business in sight. In addition to litigation, Rae advises businesses on a wide range of topics including, employee policies/handbooks, sexual harassment/discrimination prevention, business formation and contract drafting. Rae has represented clients in state and federal litigation in a variety of cases such as wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, breach of contract, unfair competition and corporate and partnership dissolutions. Rae also represents businesses in front of administration agencies such as the Unemployment Appeals Board, the State and Federal Labor Commissioner, the Department of Fair Employment and housing, the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission and the National Labor Relations Board. Prior to entering the legal profession, Rae obtained her Bachelor of Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Hotel Management and worked in hospitality management for 10 years. Currently Rae is active in the Women Lawyers' Association of Los Angeles, the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Santa Monica Bar Association as president elect.
