About Jerome A. Pivnik
Jerome A. Pivnik is a Partner in the Miami office of Chartwell. He graduated from the University of Florida with a BSBA degree in Economics, with honors. He earned his law degree from the American University's Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. in 1983. Formerly, Mr. Pivnik was the co-founding partner of Pivnik & Nitsche, and the managing partner of the Miami offices of Katten Muchin & Zavis and Dombroff & Gilmore. Mr. Pivnik concentrates his practice on representing the needs of insurance companies and self-insured businesses, including accident defense, employment and commercial litigation. He handles all types of general liability claims including: auto and truck accident cases, shipping, product liability, construction defects and matters involving premises liability including slip and fall, inadequate security, wrongful eviction, false arrest, assault, and malicious prosecution. He defends employers in cases involving wrongful termination, defamation, wage and hour violations, Family Medical Leave Act, Title VII cases, non-compete agreements, trade secrets, and invasion of privacy claims. He also provides clients with advice and counsel on first party and third party coverage matters.
