Michelle Vargas

Ms. Vargas is currently involved in litigation matters involving personal injury, premises liability, insurance defense, commercial litigation and business law. She is experienced in assisting clients analyze claims, assessing liability and damages, developing a litigation strategy and making recommendations. Ms. Vargas has successfully handled hundreds of civil litigation cases from initial case assessment through disposition. Ms. Vargas began clerking at an insurance defense firm and was later hired as an associate upon graduating from law school. She graduated with honors from Florida International University, College of Law, in 2009, ranking number one in her class. During her law school career, she earned the position of Articles Editor of the FIU Law Review, clerk of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity, and was a member of the Cuban American Law Society and the National Scholars Honor Society. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Vargas worked in marketing for three years. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Florida International University in 2004, dual majoring in Marketing and Management Information Systems. While at FIU, she was treasurer of her sorority Phi Mu Fraternity and a member of the Society of Collegiate Scholars. Ms. Vargas attended high school at Miami Christian School and graduated as salutatorian of her class in 2000. Ms. Vargas is a member of the American Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, and Defense Research Institute. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Ms. Vargas is fluent in Spanish. She is involved in her church, Alpha & Omega, and volunteers her time at the children's ministry.
