Jacqueline M. Satherlie

Jacqueline M. Satherlie concentrates her practice in the representation of insurance carriers; providing coverage opinion letters, sample reservations of rights letters and denial letters to insurers and self-insureds, litigating coverage disputes, including issues regarding proper cancellation and misrepresentation on the application, fraud, defending bad faith claims and appellate practice. Jackie is also chosen by numerous insurers to advise on the enforceability of policy provisions and partial and complete drafting of insurance policies. She is experienced in construction defect litigation, spoliation of evidence actions and the defense of condominium associations, property managers, real estate and insurance professionals and lawyers. Jackie also has extensive experience with issues of misrepresentation on the application and coverage issues relating to uninsured and underinsured motorist claims. Jackie has successfully argued insurance coverage cases in Illinois state, federal and appellate courts. Prior to receiving her law degree, Jackie worked in the insurance industry in various claims positions. She began her career in the insurance industry at a personal automobile insurer, and later worked for large commercial insurers. She also handled litigated claims presented under the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants insurance program, which frequently included claims for fraud, negligence and intentional misrepresentation, professional negligence and violations of the Racketeering Influence and Corruption Act.
