Rachel Elizabeth Abbott

Rachel Abbott practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, general corporate, transactional, securities law, and corporate counseling. She has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, divestiture activity, corporate restructurings, capital formations, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and venture capital transactions. Rachel's experience in these areas includes extensive work in certain highly regulated industries such as energy and health care. Prior to rejoining Hubbard & Wells, Rachel served as the vice president, general counsel, and new business development officer for DQ Enterprises, an affiliate of DQ, Inc. which invests in and develops businesses in the energy services and technologies and electronic commerce industries. DQ Enterprises' portfolio is one of the largest in the utility industry. In her position, Rachel evaluated new business opportunities and structured and managed DQ Enterprises' investments. In addition, she advised the portfolio companies in all aspects of their growth cycle, including business plan development, financings, management, recruitment and retention, and general strategic guidance. Rachel serves on a number of boards, including H Power Corp. (NASDAQ:HPOW).
