Michael M. Thompson

Michael Thompson is from Lake Charles, Louisiana. He graduated from A.M. Barbe High School in 1999. He received his undergraduate degree from LSU in 2003 where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science. Michael attended law school at LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. There he participated in LSU Law School's study abroad program in Lyon, France. He graduated in 2006 with a Juris Doctor and Bachelors of Civil Law degree. Following law school, Michael clerked for Judge John V. Parker in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana. Thereafter, Michael worked as a trial attorney for a national insurance carrier, where he successfully defended various businesses and individuals at all stages of litigation in premises liability, automobile accident, products liability, complex, and high exposure cases. Michael's trial work is extensive and includes numerous jury trials in both state and federal court. Additionally, Michael has successfully argued numerous cases at the appellate court level. Michael brings this experience to Taylor, Wellons, Politz, and Duhe where he focuses on casualty litigation defense.
