Marialice K. Galt

Marialice Galt, a partner in both the Reno and Las Vegas offices, has represented injured workers for over 19 years. Ms. Galt has personally litigated and handled more than two thousand workers compensation cases. Before becoming a partner in the law firm, Ms. Galt worked for three years with Nevada Attorney for Injured Workers. Attorney Galt is a skilled appellate attorney and has successfully appealed many cases to the Nevada District Courts and the Nevada Supreme Court. Ms. Galt is further distinguished by being one of the few attorneys in the state of Nevada who has ever appealed a workers' compensation case to the Supreme Court of the United States, receiving the distinguished honor of Attorney and Counselor of the Supreme Court of the United States. A lifetime Nevadan, and co-founder of Good Earth Restaurants, Inc., Ms. Galt earned her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, with a minor in Spanish. She earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from the Nevada School of Law, Old College, Reno, Nevada, in 1989, after completing her final year at Lewis & Clark, Northwestern School of Law, in Portland, Oregon. Ms. Galt is a member of the State Bar of Nevada, Washoe County Bar Association, Clark County Bar Association, American Bar Association, the Nevada Justice Association, and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals. Ms. Galt was a Clerk for the Honorable Mark Handelsman, Second Judicial District Court. She also served for seven years on the Washoe County District Board of Health.
