About Derek V. Larson
DEREK V. LARSON practices primarily in the areas of oil and gas law and complex commercial litigation. Derek has represented royalty owners in class action litigation, and he represented the states of New Mexico and Wyoming as a special assistant attorney general to collect underpaid severance taxes and royalties due on oil and gas production. He also represents entities and individuals in a broad range of business disputes. Before beginning his legal career, Derek was an auditor in Arthur Andersen & Co.'s litigation support division. He is also a pilot, breeds Doberman Pinschers and has served on the City of Albuquerque's Airport Advisory Board since 2006 and as its Chairman since 2009.
