Joseph J. Tock

Joseph was one of the youngest attorneys ever hired in the Bronx County District Attorney's Office. During his seven-year tenure there he handled hundreds of criminal cases, specializing in child sex crimes and homicides. Joe has tried more than 75 felony cases to verdict, including 17 homicides. In 1992, he opened his own firm in Putnam County handling criminal defense, personal injury, real estate transactions, business law, and Wills, trusts & estates. Joe is the preeminent trial attorney in Putnam, Dutchess, & Northern Westchester Counties. In business more than 30 years in Mahopac, NY, his experience with the legal system is unmatched. Joe has litigated more than 500 personal injury automobile accident cases and drafted more than 1300 Wills for our clients. In his 40 years practicing law Joe has satisfied thousands of clients' legal needs. Born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, Joe is a St. John's University graduate, obtaining both his B.S. and J.D. degrees there. A lifelong Mets fan, Joe enjoys catching a game at Shea Stadium CitiField, tending an impressive vegetable garden at home, and traveling the world to experience other cultures and look for wildlife. He is extremely involved in the local community as a longtime member of the Mahopac Public Library Board of Trustees, Director and past President of the Putnam County Bar Association, and a past Vice-President, Counsel, and Board member of the Greater Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce. Joe is also a member of the Bronx County Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers' Association, New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, New York State Bar Association, and American Bar Association. He also serves on the Putnam County Grievance Committee.
