Steven M. Amundson

Steven M. Amundson is a partner in the New York office of Frommer Lawrence & Haug LLP, concentrating his practice in the area of intellectual property litigation including presuit investigations, discovery and trial preparation, trials, and appeals. His cases involving disputes over patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and unfair competition have included a broad range of technologies encompassing computers, electronic devices, electromagnetic products, semiconductor fabrication, medical devices, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals (including “blockbuster” prescription drugs). After receiving his M.S. degree from Ohio State, Mr. Amundson worked as a nuclear propulsion engineer for the Naval Sea Systems Command, which was then headed by Admiral Hyman Rickover. As an engineer for the Navy, Mr. Amundson was responsible for design review and approval of electrical instrumentation and control equipment for naval nuclear propulsion plants. From 1988 to 1997, Mr. Amundson was a trial attorney with the Intellectual Property Section of the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., where he was lead trial counsel in patent and copyright cases and also argued appeals before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Since joining FLH in 1997, Mr. Amundson has successfully litigated cases for some of the world’s leading companies. Steven Amundson has been listed in the New York Super Lawyers 2007 Metro Edition.
