Lillie Burkons brings a rich background in journalism, law, and public service to her practice at Zashin Law. Graduating from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, Lillie’s journey into law began with an impressive transition from a committed student to a D-1 walk-on athlete for the women’s tennis team, showcasing her determination and resilience. Her legal education was pursued at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. She not only excelled academically, earning Cali awards for her outstanding performance in Trademarks, but she also dedicated her time to student government in her 2L year. Professionally, Lillie’s career has been characterized by her commitment to serving her community. Starting as a prosecutor, she later channeled her expertise into the nonprofit sector, providing both brief advice and representation to those in need. Her legal practice now focuses on family law, including divorce and custody matters, where she is passionate about tailoring parenting plans to meet the unique needs of each family. In her personal time, Lillie continues to embody the spirit of balance and wellness, enjoying yoga and spending quality time with her family and friends.
