Michael A. George

Michael Anthony George is an attorney at Rauser & Associates in the Akron Office, and comes from a family of attorneys who have been practicing law in the Akron area for decades. He attended John Carroll University graduating Magna Cum Laude with Honors before attending the University of Akron, where he earned his law degree. Since 2012, Michael has a variety of experiences as an attorney in private practice, courts, and various firms. He has represented hundreds of clients in bankruptcy cases, dozens of private individuals in estate planning and contracts-based cases, multiple small business owners in issues including lease drafting and negotiations, purchase agreements, liquor license acquisitions and transfers, tax issues, among others. Currently, Michael focuses most of his practice on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy cases, serving clients mainly in our Akron and Cleveland offices. Mr. George is committed and dedicated to helping his clients smooth out rough financial times, and has helped hundreds of clients prevent garnishments, restore utility service, lower car payments and discharge millions of general unsecured debts including medical bills, loans and credit cards that they can no longer afford. Outside of work Michael enjoys spending time with his partner and his six-year-old puggle, kayaking, playing tennis, and traveling.
