Richard V. Zurz

Judge Zurz has had a distinguished career as assistant city prosecutor, assistant law director for the City of Akron and as a jurist, serving as judge of the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations Division, from 1974 to 1991. After his graduation from Ohio Northern University Law School in 1953, he was in the private practice of law and served as solicitor for the Villages of Norton and Munroe Falls and Franklin Township until he was appointed judge. He returned to the private practice of law in 1992 when he joined Blakemore, Meeker & Bowler. judge Zurz is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers.
