Conner Egan

Conner Egan is a seasoned criminal defense attorney who represents clients from the firm’s Portland office in matters involving DUII and other serious criminal charges. His practice is centered on protecting the rights of individuals facing misdemeanor, felony, and Measure 11 offenses, with a strong emphasis on careful case analysis and strategic advocacy. Before joining Gilroy Napoli Short, Conner served as a Deputy District Attorney in Marion County, where he prosecuted a broad range of cases, including DUII, property offenses, and complex Measure 11 child sex abuse matters. He also developed significant experience working on cases involving individuals with mental health challenges, allowing him to approach sensitive situations with insight, professionalism, and compassion. Conner’s legal background extends beyond traditional courtroom practice. He previously clerked with the District Attorney’s Offices in Multnomah, Lane, and Jackson Counties and contributed to criminal justice policy while working in the Oregon State Legislature as a criminal law advisor. This combination of prosecutorial, legislative, and clerking experience gives him a well-rounded perspective on how criminal laws are created, enforced, and applied. Drawing on this diverse experience, Conner is committed to guiding clients through difficult and often overwhelming circumstances. He prioritizes clear communication and works diligently to pursue outcomes that are fair, balanced, and aligned with his clients’ best interests. Conner earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Religious Studies from the University of Oregon and completed his legal education at the University of Oregon School of Law. A native of Medford, Oregon, and the son of two educators, he brings strong values and a grounded approach to his work. Outside the office, Conner enjoys spending time with his family and keeping up with his energetic children.
