Charles L. Potter Jr.

Charles L. Potter, Jr. concentrates his practice on federal taxation and state and local taxation. His practice also focuses on matters relating to energy, natural resources, sports, and trusts and estates. Charles has advised many types of clients, including public utility groups, on state and local tax planning and structuring matters. He helps clients with strategies to minimize state and local tax burdens through a restructuring of their corporate groups. He also has assisted public utility groups and others with state tax return matters, audits, administrative state tax appeals and appeals of state tax matters to the courts. He also does tax planning and compliance work for high-net-worth individuals. In addition, Charles has experience in the oil and gas industry. He has organized oil and gas drilling programs for clients and assisted clients in other aspects of oil and gas production. Charles is a co-author of the "Guidebook to Pennsylvania Taxes," published annually by CCH Incorporated. Martindale-Hubbell has given Charles an AV peer review rating.
