
About B. Hart Knight
Hart Knight practices in the firm's Environmental Law Practice Group and the Litigation Department. He has represented a wide variety of environmental clients including small rural farmers, electric utility systems, and the world's largest bottling company. Hart's experience ranges from state enforcement actions to the defense of federal citizen suits to matters of regulatory compliance. Since joining Miller & Martin, his practice has focused on issues involving the Clean Water Act, RCRA, CERCLA, ESA, TSCA (PCBs), FTC greenwashing, and water allocation matters. Hart has also gained experience handling various civil litigation matters such as complex immigration litigation and insurance defense. Prior to joining the firm, Hart served as the senior judicial law clerk for the Honorable Frank Clement, Jr. of the Court of Appeals of Tennessee and graduated from the nation's leading environmental law school, during which time he clerked for the Environmental Crimes Section of the United States Department of Justice, in Washington, D.C. He is a Classroom Volunteer in Julia Green Elementary, Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee. He is also an active participant in the firm's Pencil Partnership campaign with Bordeaux Enhanced Option Elementary School.
