About Kerri Borchardt Taylor
Mrs. Taylor is a lifelong resident of Charlottesville. She received a basketball scholarship to James Madison University, where she obtained both her undergraduate and MBA degrees. In 1995, Mrs. Taylor graduated from The University of Richmond, The T.C. Williams School of Law, where she was a member of Law Review. Mrs. Taylor began her legal career in 1995 with McGuire Woods, LLP, one of the largest law firms in the United States. There she worked as an associate gaining valuable litigation and trial experience while assisting in the representation of a variety of clients including VMI and Fortune 500 companies such as Westinghouse, Steele, Ford, Philip Morris, Cincinnati Insurance, ConAgra and Pepsi. Mrs. Taylor continued her litigation career as a Senior Associate with Morin & Barkley, LLP, where she successfully resolved a traumatic brain injury case involving UM/UIM coverage issues resulting in a $1.25 million dollar settlement for the client. She spent 9 years as a Partner with Goodman, Allen & Filetti, PLLC, where she focused her practice on personal injury, family law, nursing home and medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, commercial disputes and trust and estate litigation. In January 2014, Mr. Hart and Mrs. Taylor formed Hart Taylor. The firm blends their civil and criminal expertise and allows them to offer clients throughout Central Virginia a combined 40 years of litigation experience. Mrs. Taylor has attained the "BV" Distinguished rating through The Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings ™.
