Kristen Bowman

Kristen Bowman is an accomplished attorney practicing law exclusively in areas directly affecting families. She has over 14 years of experience in the legal industry. She regularly litigates issues of divorce, complex distribution of property and debt, custody, visitation, and child and spousal support. Her work in estate law encompasses estate planning and related matters arising from the deaths of loved ones, including distribution, probate, administration, disputes, and associated litigation. Ms. Bowman grew up in South Florida, where she obtained her undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University, majoring in criminal justice with a minor in psychology. Upon graduation, Ms. Bowman moved back to Richmond, Virginia, where she completed an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in paralegal studies with a specialization in litigation. She then worked for several local firms in a paralegal capacity. Upon finding work in the legal field enjoyable, Ms. Bowman enrolled at Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree. Through her law degree, Ms. Bowman is a passionate advocate for her clients both inside and outside the courtroom. She understands the details and complexities of working with families. Ms. Bowman’s priorities in every representation are that her clients feel confident, informed, and heard. Ms. Bowman has the commitment, passion, and experience her clients need during stressful and uncertain times. Ms. Bowman lives in Chesapeake with her husband, son, and their two spoiled dogs, Scooby and Moo.
