Kurt Iselt

Born and raised in Texas, my interest in estates and trusts started when I was young. I was the only child of only children and my dad was something of an amateur historian. He kept copious mementos of the family's lineage and treasured the prospect of passing them on to later generations. Thus, the seed of passing on one's heritage was planted very early. At the same time, I saw a number poorly-planned estates in my extended family where people squabbled over inheritance both in and out of court. As I was looking towards law school, I knew that I would enjoy helping others plan their estates so that they could avoid the issues I had witnessed. Now it's been over 10 years where I have helped clients make estate plans that fulfill their wishes, as well as held their hands when loved ones have passed. Through study and experience, my knowledge of the process involved in planning and administration is significant. I feel very fortunate to have the skills needed for attaining the greatest goal of my work: Helping others and knowing that it was appreciated. When I'm not applying my legal skills, I can be found spending time with my spouse and kids, rock climbing, enjoying music, hiking on local trails, and tending to my yard.
