Mark Mokris

Mr. Mokris has been practicing law for over fifteen years. He graduated from Regent University School of Law in 1997 and in 1998 began his legal career as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for the County of Mecklenburg. During his time as a prosecutor he handled all types of prosecutions and for a short period of time was appointed to fill out the remainder of John White-Hurst's term as Commonwealth Attorney after Mr. White-Hurst's untimely death in office. Mr. Mokris entered private practice in October of 2000 and has practiced with as many as three attorneys working as part of his law practice. Presently, he has downsized his practice to maximize his ability to focus on his clients rather than the additional duties of a larger law firm. Since entering private practice, Mark Mokris, has defended many individuals in both judge and jury trials charged with murder, drug distribution crimes, sex offenses, and other serious types of cases. He has also co-taught, with Brendan Dunning, an online Virginia Continuing Legal Education Course on the Use of Experts in Criminal Cases and the implications of Melendez-Diaz. Whether it is a simple traffic case or a complex murder case, custody and visitation, or some other legal problem Mr. Mokris utilizes his knowledge, expertise, and powerful online research engines to maximize the potential for a positive outcome.
