L. Dean Smith Jr.

Mr. Smith is an associate with Herzfeld & Rubin LLP. Mr. Smith's practice is devoted to defending corporations, physicians, and health care providers in cases involving wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury arising from product liability and medical malpractice claims. Prior to joining Herzfeld & Rubin LLP, Mr. Smith was a litigator at Baker, Keener & Nahra and Kussman & Whitehill - two of L.A.'s powerhouse litigation boutiques - representing corporate and individual clients in federal and state courts throughout California. Mr. Smith is experienced in all phases of litigation, and is responsible for managing his own case load. He has made numerous appearances in state and federal court, and has extensive experience in law and motion, including motions for summary judgment/adjudication and pre-trial motions, taking and defending depositions of key witnesses, and briefing complex procedural and substantive issues for his clients.
