
About Matthew Davies
Matthew C. Davies is an attorney in Korein Tillery’s Chicago office. He received his B.A. with Honors from Northwestern University in 2002 and his J.D. from New York University in 2009. Prior to law school, Mr. Davies worked for several years as a paralegal for Korein Tillery. During this time he assisted in several high profile class cases and developed a particular expertise in regards to tobacco litigation. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Davies returned to Korein Tillery to continue working on consumer protection and public health issues, including “lights” tobacco litigation. More recently, Mr. Davies has focused on representing investors in connection with loss mitigation and recovery efforts on their investments in mortgage-backed securities. Mr. Davies has provided advice on strategy and recovery options, assisted in negotiating direction and indemnity agreements with trustees, and conducted securitization rights and potential recovery assessments. Mr. Davies primarily focuses on “put-back” and “trustee” RMBS actions.
